FN_2E8A.PIF
Found this on an old 5¼" floppy in a box labeled "DO NOT SHIP". Pretty sure it doesn't work correctly. No idea why it's here. Don't run it. Move along. Nothing to see.
rundocumentation
FN_2E8A.PIF
Found on a 5.25" floppy disk in a cardboard box labeled "DO NOT SHIP". The disk was wedged between a copy of PC Magazine from 1994 and what appears to be a hand-drawn UML diagram of someone's feelings.
What it does
Nobody knows. The original author left no documentation, only a sticky note that reads "es tut mir leid" in increasingly shaky handwriting.
It appears to have something to do with disk defragmentation. Or screen calibration. Or possibly revenge.
Known issues
- Running this may void your warranty
- Has been known to cause unexplained nostalgia for Borland Turbo Vision
- The SysOp of a BBS in Wuppertal reportedly ran this in 1996 and was never heard from again
- May or may not contain traces of AUTOEXEC.BAT
Requirements
- A 5.25" floppy drive (optional but recommended for the full experience)
- Disregard for personal safety
- At least 640K of courage (should be enough for anybody)
